I used to get to sleep in but now I get up around 6:00am. I have to get 3 kids ready for school and their busses come by around 7:15am. The 4th kid walks to school or gets a ride with his dad to school. The good side is that I get the house to myself for around 6 - 7 hours each day. I think I might actually get a part time job in order to make some money and pay off some bills.
Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

Well sleeping in is definitely a luxury around here. It feels so good to wake up on your own without an alarm. Since I have gotten the new addition to the family, my puppy lets me know when it is time to get up. If I am not up and she wants to go play . eat or go outside, she will ump onto the bed and gently paw at me. To sleep in around here, it maybe 7:30 a.m. and is usually either a Friday, a Saturday or Sunday or a Monday, depending on the schedule. Usually it will be once a week.
Thank you for your discussion.

Lately I've been sleeping in a lot. Our usual routine for the past few months was hubby would wake up with the baby, usually around 6am. Normally I'd get up around 8, just in time to get the twins ready for school and see hubby off to work. On his days off he'll usually let me sleep later, Sunday is the day I can sleep as long as I want, and usually I won't roll out of bed until at least 10. I try to let him sleep in on his other day off.
The last 2 days though, we've both managed to sleep in. Yesterday none of us woke up until 8am, my oldest son was late for school! Today the kids all got themselves up and ready for school, and apparently hubby and I slept through it all, because again he and I didn't roll out of bed until 8.
My oldest is very helpful though, especially now that we're in a house with no stairs. He will get the baby out of the crib, and the older 3 kids help each other out and feed the baby and the toddler their breakfast. The older 3 will also get themselves ready for school, and the oldest leaves on time to catch the bus even if we're not up yet. Yesterday when I woke up all 3 kids were ready for school and standing by the door waiting for the bus to appear. It's good that they know their routine and can do it without us.

Sleeping in for me would be after 10 a.m., since i go to bed so late in the early morning. I get to sleep in very rarely. It is nice to sleep in when i can get the chance, but it happens so rarely that my body wakes up before the alarm clock even goes off.

I get up around 8 every morning for work or for my fiancées work.
Usually we stay up way too late and it's a big award to get to sleep in to 9-11 on Mondays (my only day off)
Unless we go out Sunday that is, then Mondays could be a nooner :)

Well, I used to get to sleep in most times, but now since my niece is staying here with her new born whom just turned 2 weeks old the other day, I am up before my husband and I am up all day and basically fall into bed at night to await the middle of the night feedings. I help out as much as I can and the sleep that is lost is worth the little smile here and there..which can be for me or just gas..haven't figured that out yet..lol

I get up a LOT later than I used to... but it usually revolves around my work schedule. I'm self-employed and sometimes work odd hours. Also, I'm really a night owl. I like to stay up late, when I can, because it's "me time." I write, visit with online friends, play games occasionally... and it's QUIET! LOL It would appear that I'm "sleeping in" if I don't wake up until say 11AM... but, often, I have only gotten to sleep at maybe 5 or 6 AM. Not getting anymore sleep than most people do - just a bit turned around, schedule-wise :D

For a week day 7am would be sleeping in. I'm like you, I'm semi awake when my husband's alarm goes off. I'll get up about 6:20 when he leaves for work. I may get to sleep in on Saturday once or twice a month. That means just waking up naturally without the alarm or about 8am.

I don't really get to sleep in during the week because I have to get my son out the door for school, but on the weekends sometimes or during the week when he is out of school for a day I will get to sleep in till around 9 am. Yesterday my daughter was still asleep when my son left for school, so I laid back down with her till 10 am.

I think it is good to sleep in when the opportunity presents itself. Sort of a small vacation without leaving the bedroom. I try to provide my wife with these small opportunities to catch a little more sleep.

I rarely get to sleep in. I have a little girl who's got odd sleeping habits so I usually don't get to bed til early morning, or after my son and husband has gotten up and headed to work and school. If by chance, I do get to sleep in, for me that means, getting to sleep more than 2 hours at a time, lol.
Can't wait to get back on a regular sleeping schedule that I had before our little girl was born.

I always sleep in. But the duration is just 30 minutes to 1 hour. But this habit just make my body lazy and feel sleepy always throughout the day.
