Mexican gumbo

Went to one of my favorite Mexican places for lunch today and one of the specials was gumbo. Gumbo at a Mexican place you say? Yep. It was pretty good too. Kind of a mixture between gumbo and tortilla soup. Have you had anything that was a mix between two different types of cuisines that you really liked?

I don't think I have ever had Gumbo, but I love tortilla soup. I made it once and it turned out really good. Lots of cilantro. I am sure I have had cross over foods before, but not any that I can think of right now.

Yum, spicy shrimp soup. But it was even better with the Mexican twist.

Wow interesting Mexican Gumbo... Nope I can't say I ever had a fusion like that...and they named it Gumbo... I would love to try it though

It was pretty darn good, kind of like tortilla soup with rice and shrimp!
