I got used to a schedule that starts at 6:30 am, now my new schedule starts at 9:30pm and ends up at 6:30am... With the climate right now even if you sleep naked it will be hard to catch some sleep specially in the afternoon.I wanted to drink a sleeping pill but I was told not to because I might get use to it. I can only sleep in the morning while the it's still cold but by the time I feel the sweat regardless I am in deep sleep I will wake up and end up in front of my computer. By 8pm I leave the house and got only 4 hours sleep and will end up snoring at work while talking to customers. do you have some special ways to have at least 6 hours sleep?I have a shifting schedule so my body clock changes every 3 months...sigh

Hey, if you have a waterbed, you could always try turning the water temperature down so that it's cooler. It'll almost be like sleeping in air conditioning, but I don't know how you'd feel about that since water takes longer to heat up when you want it warmer. It might be easier just to get an air conditioner or fan put in.

Sorry to hear about your new schedule. Those hours sound rough... I would try air conditioning or a fan to help you cool off during the afternoon. If you still have trouble, talk to your doctor about some sleep aid pills. I think you can buy some over the counter, but if not, maybe your doctor can prescribe you something else. If all else fails, try taking a shot or two of whiskey or scotch... If you're having trouble staying awake at work try some caffeine - coffee, Red Bull, 5 Hour Energy shots, Dr. Pepper, etc. Good luck!

I know that SLEEPASIL is a sleeping pill and you can buy it over the counter. But when mom learned that I bought a pill she stopped me bec.I might get use to taking sleeping pills. Coffee will not stay me awake bec. I don't have some reserve energy so even if I drink 5 cups of coffee and without some reserved energy it will be useless.

I like your schedule. Hehe. I always wonder how it feels to be working at night. I think its refreshing in a way that there's no rush, the weather is cold, no dust, etc. But going back, if you can make it home early then you can sleep right away. Just keep the fan on then close your windows to prevent sunlight from getting in. Sleep from 8am to 2pm or later. Then have your lunch. By that time, you still got a lot of time left for you to do your thing. Maybe you're still too aware of your new schedule that it kind of alerts your mind not to miss it. In time you'll get used to it then be able to sleep anytime you want.
