I've made rice crispie treats and I've bought the pre-made ones. The store bought ones really aren't too bad, but they aren't as good as the homemade. I used to make the homemade all the time in high school, but I had to stop doing that because they're just too easy to eat. So now I'll make them once in a while, but not too often.

We love them at my house!! you can add nuts to them and chocolate chips or anything that sounds good. I have also put food coloring in the marshmellows as they melt so I can have different colors for different ocasions.
I hope you enjoy this new found treat!!

I love rice krispie squares but have not made them in a long time. I also like to add chocolate to them. I find them very hard to stir but I think I might just make a batch now that you mention it, thanks!

I love making them on a rainy day with my mom- it's one of the few ways we bond. We NEVER buy them premade- it's much more fun and tasty to make them yourself. Plus, they come out warm.

I never buy them pre made. I used to make them a lot more when the kids were little but I still enjoy making them once in a while. Over the years we have created some wild decorations for them!
They are really good with peanut butter chips added to them too!

I do like them and make them often. I like making different kinds. Peanut butter and chocolate rice krispy treats. I also like using the chocolate and vanilla rice krispy to make them out of. My kids enjoy them, as well as me. I only buy the pre-made ones if we are out on the road and the needs need a quick treat, as I don't like the taste of the marshmellow in those.

The only problem is when it's time to clean the pot they were made in with all the sticky marshmallow.
