Mitra, what is HOLI? Is it some sort of Indian celebration? I have never heard of it before. What takes place during this time?

Yes Lita, Holi is a festival of playing with colors, those are good for health. Since in India this is the middle of spring season, the season of flowers and colors, people celebrate this festival with much ceremony, dance, fun, laughter, sweets and get-together with spraying various colors(Abir or Gulal) on each other. This festival is celebrated in India on the full-moon day that comes in March. Also in many parts of India like my place, Holi is celebrated on the next day to the full-moon. This festival dates back to Lord Krishna of Indian mythology! Thanks for your query and have a good day, with 'Happy Holi'!

I think I saw this in a movie once. An American who knows absolutely nothing about the culture goes to India because his company moves its call center there and he misses the note from his hosts to stay indoors and ends up covered from head to toe. It's really funny though because he has no idea what is going on or why people are throwing color bombs at him. The movie was called Outsourced.
