burnt tongue

I recently took very hot tea and got my tongue burnt and looks like my taste buds are super sensitive now and they pain even if air touch them. does burning your tongue on very hot food leave little dots on your tongue? Did u ever burnt ur tongue?

It does hurt. I read somewhere that rubbing a little sugar on it eases the pain. I'm not sure if it helps the healing process but it's worth a try. I haven't noticed little dots, but I have experienced the pain, I hate burning the roof of my mouth too! Happy healing!

I once had a friend who was on my cheerleading team. We were at a competition and she got hot chocolate. She took a huge sip and it was scalding hot. She later showed me her tongue....it wasn't that she had super sensitive taste buds. She had huge blisters all over her tongue. It was horrible. It looked so painful too

I always get burnt my tongue because drink hot drink.I like to eat hot food but dont like to drink hot water.
