Well up here in bonny Scotland the new year is HOGMANY and we go first footing with a bottle of whiskey and a lump of coal, fantastic fun even though it is usually freezing. I do love christmas if it is spent with family but it is very lonley if you are alone.

I would say Christmas, because you get the holiday spirit. With New Years, it's just another year coming by. Chirstmas is a lot different then New Years, and i love chirstmas veri much.
