We live in Marikina City since 1981. It was not a city yet then and the streets, drainage system, governemnt officials, etc, were far to be desired. But when now MMDA Chair Bayani Fernando became the mayor, the place started to improve. During his campaign he told us that his vision was to make every resident proud to claim he/she is MarikiƱo.OUr mayor now, Marides Fernando continued this vision. Now we are really proud to live in this beautiful city. Our taxes may be higher than other cities, and our governemnt officials strictier than many but we are happy. If you are wondering why, come visit us.

Hello pmcepe! You're right, Marikina improved a lot since Bayani Fernando became the mayor there. I really didn't know about if not here. I am glad that you're proud of your city now. I am proud of Davao city too (that's where I live) For me, one of the safest streets. You can see police everywhere and that you can even walk alone in midninght without being harmed. I do believe that Davao is one of the cleanest cities. When my aunt from canada was here, she said she liked it here because the flow of life is very smooth and that it's very clean.

I have heard a lot about Davao, how beautiful and peaceful it is. It's one city I'd really love to visit. I had a classmate in college (in the 70's) who is from Davao, and he would tell us about it. BTW we (my classmates) have been trying to locate this friend, his name is Engr. Francisco Consolacion. Their family owned a pharmacy then. His father became a CA judge in the 80's. Would you know how I can track my friend, Kiko?

I live in cubao just walking distance to araneta center. I can say im proud of my city since it is developing right now to a modern and busier place like makati city. Christmas is more brighter now because of the many lights they put in. Malls are improving and many foreigners are now visiting the place.

No. Because many people are working in another city far from their hometown. I work in beijing of China, but this is not my hometown. I have my house, I don't lack of money, I offer much revenue to government, but government still don't admit me as a citizen of this city. Anytime, maybe I must be dirved out to hometown as long as government like to do. So, I am not proud of my city.

Actually I'm not proud to be residing here in Montalban anymore, I like to live also in NCR region specifically also there in Marikina because its much better to live there. Or I will be given a chance I want to reside on Alabang where I was born, we only transfer on Montalban because its the place of my Father's family.
