It is a pity that I have never been to the cimema to watch a movie. First the cinema is far away from my home, and second I think it is waste of moeney, so I just download the movie and watch it with my HUGE computer with my husband. But it is said that there is a great difference between in the cinema and in the house. I hope I will have a chance to watch the movie in the cinema. What about you? Which do you prefer? Share your opinions. Happy mylotting!

I like the movie experience at the movie theater, I only need to find a movie that I care enough for to pay the trip (bus) spend that many hours going and coming back home and watching the movie.

I loved to watch movies in theatre but with huge rise in prices now we both watch movies at home by renting dvd's. There was a time we used to watch twelve to foruteen movies in a week as we were newly weds but thereafter it was cut down to one movies per week now its watched only if reviews are good. Last movie I watched was shahrikh khan's Rab ne Bana di Jodi. One thing I like about watching movies at home is that you make your own popcorn and then snuggle in to the bed for the movie and can fast forward real sleezy songs of bollywood movies.

Before when I was just a kid, the thought of going to a cinema is a delight and would love to go there anytime to watch favorite movies. Nowadays, I don't fancy going to a cinema to watch new movie release. I just wait for them to be shown on tv or on the internet. But if a friend would invite me to go to a cinema I would probably go but it has to be a quality movie that I think is worht wathcing.

I really can't stand the loudness of the speakers in the movies. A good home theater system is the way to go for me. You can press the pause button if you have to leave the room for any reason, and you are in control of the volume.

I watched movies at home mainly to save money. Compare the price of a VCD to the price of going to 2 movie ticket. What about a family. How much cost savings is there. Of course, I do not deny that watching movie in cinemas is more comfortable and relaxing. However, I watched movie for the story line and not the ambience.

i do both, watching movies in the cinema and at home. it depends on quite a number of things. firstly of course i've got to have time to go to the cinema. there are often times that i'll miss a movie because it's no longer in the cinema when i finally found time. also, i will catch action movies in the cinema because it's best appreciated on a huge screen. my home tv is not very big and the sound system definitely can't bring out the best of these movies. on the other hand, i don't mind watching a non-action movie at home as the essence is all in the conversation. cheers

Watching a movie in a cinema is a pretty nice experience because it's so very different than watching a movie from your TV or computer. I can't sit still while watching a movie in my home. I always need to be doing something else while watching the movie. But, in a cinema, I can sit still because the movie screen is so huge compared to your TV screen, plus the surround-sound in the cinema makes you feel like you're actually part of the movie. I have no trouble sitting still in a cinema. BUT, they are so expensive that I haven't been to a cinema in at least 10 years. The last one I went to cost me about $40.00. I was just myself and my two sons and we went to a matinee, in the middle of the day when the prices were lowest. Kids HAVE to buy drinks, popcorn, candy, all that stuff. After that movie, I haven't been to a cinema since. I'd rather wait for the movie to come out on DVD these days.

The only reason why I watch movie in cinemas because I get to see the movie in trend and early. But if I am to choose I'd love to watch it at the comfort of my home where you'll be free to react in everything that you see plus, you get to enjoy it with your loved ones, not wasting too much money;)

I love watching at home. I have over a thousand films. I'm an addict. However, I only switch on the television set after I have done all my writing. I write all day and at around 9 p.m. start to watch until about one in the morning. I just love Seinfeld and Curb your Enthusiasm as a series and watch old episodes of Seinfeld in between movies. I am a film fanatic. When I watch I like to lie on the bed with a foamy cappuccino next to me. Writing books and articles are my life, and of course great art house movies. Yesterday was a great day. Nadal won!! .. so I also watched all the tennis.

There's nothing like watching a movie on your own. You have the whole bed. You can run to the kitchen for a drink. You can eat while you watch. You can put the movie on hold for a comfort break. Best of all, no one is chattering to you all the time. No one goes in and out from the movie house to the toilet. You can watch a movie and rewind to watch a particular scene over and over again. If there are people with you, you can stop the movie and discuss it. When the movie is over, you don't have to drive home; you can watch another movie again.

Personally it depends on my mood. If I feel up to going to the movies, then I usually enjoy it along with the buttery popcorn. If I do not feel up to it, I also enjoy staying at home and watching movies in the comfort of my bed or couch with my own snacks. As for comfort, I would say staying at home is great, but for a change, going to the cinema is good too.

Of course, there is a difference. However, because of several difficulties, nowadays I do not like to go to cinema halls. Buying a CD/DVD and watching at home is cheaper too.

I usually watch movies at home. Movie tickets cost too much, and you can only see the movie once.

There is always that theater experience when you go watch the movies at a really big screen. Of course, advantages and disadvantages. Depends on the situation, sometimes there are other viewers that are bothering your viewing pleasure, they are too noisy instead of watching the film, more often spoiling the details to those who haven't really watched the film. The sound quality can vary but, if you have something better at home, I guess there is no reason to compare. Of course, the big screen. How big is your screen at home compared to the one they use in the cinema? Do you have a very big wall where you can use a projector to show that film that you'd be watching, just to get a big viewing experience? For me, I would really like to watch movies in the cinema. Not because of the movie but, being with those I know watching it. So that we could talk about it later on. There's that different experience that you don't get to share with friends or family members when you guys just watch it at home compared to watching it in the cinemas..

I much prefer to watch movies in the cinema but I don't go that often because of the cost. I am lucky that my sorority group goes several times a year as our second meeting each month, since we seem to be able to get our business accomplished at our first meeting and want to do some type of social. We also "cheat" a little on the price and have one person buy the tickets who can get them at the senior price so those of us who are not quite at the senior age can save a few dollars. I prefer the cinema so as not to be interrupted during the movie and because the sound is so much better there. I do hope that one day you treat yourself and go. You won't be disappointed.

I use to enjoy going to the Movies at the Cinema when I lived in England, but since living in France I tend to watch the films on the Television instead as although My French is okay for day to day conversations, it is still a challenge watching a film in French.
