I don't like my current job, but I won't resign, because of the economic surrounding. You know, students are out of work once they graduated form school, and also it's really hard to search a job in the job market. I am now living in Shenzhen, maybe it's a little hotter recently in the job market, I know it from a ex-colleague. I love China!

I think anyone who still has a job should be greatful they even have one. The economy is really crappy, and lots of people have been laid off. I am one of those people. I got laid off October 28,2008. I have searched high and low, and still haven't found anything permanent. I finally had to join up with a temp. agency and since I have done so three weeks ago, I have only had one assignment. It has been a whole week since my last assignment ended, and I haven't been contacted for another job. My mom has been waiting five weeks to hear something, herself. The jobs are non-existent to the temp. agencies, as well. Things are only going to get MUCH WORSE before they get any better. I've tried for three years to get out of secretarial/answering phones type of work. I HATE being on the phone all day - especially dealing with irate customers. You come home at night from those types of jobs, and you do not want to talk to ANYONE, because you've been talking all day long - then your family feels neglected!! I am currently in medical school because that is the only way I will get away from those types of jobs, plus there is job security in nursing. I suggest going to school for a career, rather than a job, if you are really that miserable. For years, I made excuses like, "I can't afford it," "I don't have time," and "I don't think I could do the work. I'm terrible at Math." Number one, you CAN afford it - there is financial aid and Pell grants, etc. Number two, if you want something bad enough, you'll MAKE the time. Number three, you never know what you can do until you TRY.
