Bristol Palin and her boyfriend break up

Who is surprised by this? Personally I feel that it is a good thing. When I first saw this girl and her boyfriend at the convention I thought they had no chemistry and body language showed that they (mostly him) wanted to be anywhere else but in the public eye. The whole idea of them getting married felt wrong to me. Just because they got pregnant isn't enough reason to make them get married. Yes, it is going to be tough for her and him to have this child together. It would be worse for all of them for them to be in shot-gun marriage.

No surprise at all. Nobody in a relation ship in their teens or even early twenties stays together long. I'm just upset that they had a child together. I think it was a not a really good situation in which to have a baby.

true, it is sad that now there is a baby. whatever happened to birth control? why are teen girls still getting pregnant? abstinance doesn't work, why not protect yourself?

For that, I wish Bristol all the luck in the world. There's nothing more devistating than having been with someone like that only to part ways later. But, in all honesty, it's a good thing they didn't marry than do so and go through their problems later on. You're right with your last sentence. *Pleiades

I am not surprised at all. I'm actually more surprised that it took them THAT long to actually break up. I thought that it would be over not long after the election ended. I feel more like those two were being really pressured into 'doing the right thing' and they decided that's not what they wanted to do. And good for them, a baby is no reason to get married.

it's a sad situation but marrying for the wrong reasons is bad.
