Back in Paramedic school we had a joke...
"If the patient's EKG shows a rhythm I can't recognize, I'll shock him until he shows a rhythm I can treat."
Of course, people would be shocked, and demand prosecution of any medic that would actually do such a thing... the same people who demand the same malpractice from our government.
