Just found out! They are making The Hobbit!!!!

I just found out and I am sooooo excited about it!!! The Hobbit will come out sometime in 2012!!! I saw this on Ian McKellen's website! Ian of course will play Gandolf again! I wonder if Bilbo will be in it. I am sure he will cause they were old friends! Just had to share the good news!

3 years from now?? Wow...the excitement will slowly build up hahahaha. It doesn't say that the hobbits from LOTR will be the same ones here, just Gandalf. I hope they have everyone back. I hate it when they can't get everyone back.

I dont think the other hobbits will be in it. I dont know. I never read the book. I think it would be neat though if Frodo played bilbo considering it took place when he was young.

wow thats good new indeed ! I hope they will push thru with the movie. It's been a while since the Lord of the Rings !!! Oh, I have to review my book again ! I'm so excited !

We still have a while to wait. They aren't even going to start filming til 2010. And then it comes out in theaters in 2012. It will be a hard wait indeed! But it will be worth it!!

WOW that is awesome. There was a discussion about this when TNT showed LOTR two weekends ago. People were wondering if they would ever make the Hobbit into a movie. We know the answer now. Thanks for sharing!!

I was wondering that to. Now it is confirmed. It says so all over the internet I checked. Evidently they arent going to start filming until 2010. So it will be a while but still I cant wait!

bilbo will have to be in it, the whole book basically revolves around him. the hobbit will be an interesting watch but will probably not do good in box office because, it wont be as action filled as lotr but it will be good

Oh really? Isn't there any battles in it? I haven't read the book but my son has. I would rather see the movie as it is hard for me to read little print. It might surprise you and be as big as hit as lotr.

Before I'll watch The Hobbit, I am planning to read first the book and experience the world of LOTR. Very excited about this one. I just hope that my expectations for this movie will be meet. Just like the LOTR trilogy.

I like the book as i read the book first before the movies. Its also a great movie, and i like all the 3 especially the return of kings!

Of course Bilbo will be in it. It's all about him and how he found the ring. It is the prequel to LOTR.

That's cool! I've always wondered would there be a film about "The Hobbit". This would be very exciting cause I really want to know what really happened before in the Fellowship of the Ring movie, cause Bilbo and Gandalf are old pals and it really looks like a lot has really happened before that.
Now I want to buy the novel, so that I can compare it with the movie, just like what I did before watching each of the triology, read the book first before it came to cinemas...
