I had one in the 80s. I ended up doing two things to solve it: 1. Take off all the stickers and put arrange them so the block was solved. 2. Take the whole block apart and put it back together so the block was solved. Otherwise, I would have gone crazy trying to solve it. Why are these things back? Arrrggghhhh

LOL, I feel your pain! I can never put those things together. I have a friend who's amazing at rubik cubes, though. He offered to teach me, but I ended up with an even more mixed up cube than before!

If you don't already know how to solve it. If you know the widely known method, then it'll just be memory and muscle movement.

This is one form of mental exercise, but it's limited to spacial intelligence. I find various word games to be far better exercises for our minds in toto. They include mathematic and spacial thinking, as well as language and logic. They're also far more portable than the Cube, because nobody has to see that you're working on it when you're supposed to be llistening at a boring meeting! lol.

Those things confuse the heck out of me. In oder to solve them I a) take off all the stickers and put them back on, or b)fling the thing onto the ground and then roll it down the stairs, the latter does not help solve it whatsoever. I do have a friend who's capable of putting a rubiks cube back together no matter how you mix it up, and quite fast too. It's amazing how he does it.
