Do you ever have a feeling that the present situation whether good or bad is temporary and this will also pass and are you well prepared for future?

Fantastic question, meetvivek! I feel that in any situation, whether it be bad or good, one should always stay at least 10 steps ahead of the game. In other words, be prepared. With the economy the way it currently is, a lot of people here in the United States feel desolation and desperation. Since I am older, I knew this was coming (the recession). You see, this country has been through this before only on a smaller scale. Anyone remember the gas shortage in the 1970s? Or how about the food price freeze in the 70s? The housing collapse in the late 70s early 80s? There seems to be a cycle here. Anyhow, that's my thoughts on staying at least 10 steps ahead of the game. When the prices on houses shot up here on the east coast, I sold. But because the housing went up to $100,000.00 above market, I knew it was time to get out. Then the stock market went nuts. Gold shot up. When gold shoots up, the dollar usually goes down. That is never a good sign. Thank you for allowing me to post. Have a fantastic day!

I am an incorrigible optimist. So for me any difficult time is something that just gonna pass. If at all feel very much worried about something in such times I resort to intense prayers. Whether they are answered or not, the moment I start praying I feel relaxed. Once I feel relaxed there will generally be a reversal of mood itself. I will become upbeat. I am able to be like this because I need too few things out of life. Even though my life of these many years have passed without many of my wishes remaining unfulfilled, I do not feel depressed or lost. It is not that depression never visits me. Whatever be the problem I can raise my level of comfort.Once I went to a Personality Development Course more because my friend recommended it and praised it, than because I needed it. Though the things taught there were not new to me being there helped me to see what sort of problems people get into. I did do the level 2 program more again to let my wife attend that: Later further programs she alone attended as I felt I wouldn't be needing them.

If autumn comes can spring be far behind?Day follows night and night follows day. That is the rule of nature.I think the same applies to our life too .Sorrow and joy follow each other. That is why it is mentioned in the scriptures to keep your cool in all situations.Dont grieve in your sorrows coz it will pass ans dont be too happy because that will pass too.One who keeps calm in all situation can be said to be truely prepared for future.I still have to learn that.

Yes I always do! When I am in a difficult situation and think that in the future I shall laugh about how worried I was. I still laugh about some incidents that have happened in my life before. Like exams, for instance, I used to be worried on the day of exams and then I would think that it will be over soon and now I feel that it was really silly. Am I prepared for future? Hmm some of them not really! But I know I will handle it perfectly. I am quite fearless when it comes to taking risks and I am quite used to being in the hot water, thanks to my silliness. So whatever will be, will be!

i believe so. we face life everyday and deal with whatever the situation is presented. make the most out of your time by being productive instead of complaining of the bad side. we are all just passing on earth.

Yes, I have but the thing is that we really notice it when the going is bad. Its actually hope of good times coming and bad times which will pass, that pull us through. When the times are good and rollicking, we never really want it to end.

yes, i believe that when something is down it shall also go up. when life is full of hardships dont fret, because life will be good someday. all you have to do is to trust in the Lord and always do something good. all our sufferings, these too shall pass.
