This shot is of a dozen of peanut butter cookies I baked Wednsday night. My wife was sick and wanted a sweet treat. I had a package of Pillsbury Peanut butter cookies so I made them for her at 9:30 that night. I made 3 dozen total. Now less than 2 days later I have maybe 5 left is all. I don't know how many she ate, but I sure ate a lot. How often do you bake cookies? Do you crave sweet treats when ill?

Yummie those cookies look great. I do crave cookies and I was eating them like there was no tomorrow until I went to the doctor for my check up and things inside of me where all out of whack, my doctor ask me had I changed my diet, and gave me an increase in my medication dosage. So there goes my cookies and pecan ice cream. I had to leave them alone and hope my cholesterol goes back down on the next check up. I know what my problem is, I am not active any more, since I lost my job. All I do is sit here on this computer, I need to do some exercise.

Well here's a shot of the first batch right after being pulled from the oven. My meds control my cholestrerol fairly well so I eat what I feel. For now anyhow. I really need to change my eating habits as well. Come to think of it I need to take my meds right now. Forgot them this morning. Hahahaha!

That's a lot of cookies!
Unfortunately I don't like peanut butter. Chocolate chip is more to my liking!
You are very sweet though to make these for your wife.

What a man, what a man!!! Taking care of your wife in that way.
When ill, I don't crave sweets treats per se...... I tend to not want to eat at all and sweets are the only thing I tend to even consider. I would definitely have eaten some of these cookies pictured here!

Yum! I don't bake very often because I wind up eating the cookie dough before they hit the oven. LOL My husband bakes cookies about once a month or so, though, and I love them. When I'm ill I do like sweet treats. Then again, I like sweet treats when I'm not ill, too! :)

I tend to pass up the raw dough.
I prefer my cookies baked and warm with
a glass of cold milk most times.

Well, aren't you just a sweety for having thought your wife like that. I'm glad to have read from another discussion that she's feeling better. I've never had a man do that for me...even if they did, they always got something wrong.
It's true, all the good men are taken! There's no justice in this world! *lol*

P.S. Peanut Butter cookies are my favourite as well...much more than chocolate chip!

You wouldn't like my chunky chocolate fudge cookies then.
Lots of chunks of chocolate in them.

Yummy, it sounds so good. Pillsbury always has the best cookie dough. I have not made cookies in years. Not pre-packaed cookies or cookies made from scratch. But I will probably think about peanut butter cookies for the rest of the day. That with a tall glass of ice cold milk.

Yup they do.
These are small pouches that make 36 cookies.
1 egg, 1 Tablespoon water and 3 tablespoon oil is all.

My husband is diabetic and I hate sweets but I know when I do bake cookies I have to hide them or hubby would eat till they're done.

It was in February since I made cookies from scratch. For me it is easy because I have a standing mixer all's I have to do is put the ingredients in and walk away to get more ingredients to put in or put the others ingredients away. I love my mixer I just do not bake like I use to because of my weight problem.

When I'm sick I don't want anything! Just leave me alone and let me sleep the sickness away!
I haven't baked cookies since Christmas of 2007 when my kids came to visit. The only way I can bake cookies in this house is to make half a dough recipe, refrigerate it or freeze it and make them one or two at a time. Otherwise I would go through the entire thing and my scale would break!

Mmmm...those are my favorite kind, that was nice of you to make them for her, I don't think I could get my hubby to do that for me if I'm sick..lol. No, it don't take long to eat those cookies up does it. I don't bake cookies that often anymore, I used to bake them all the time, my husband's favorite are Snickerdoodles, and when I make them they don't last long...lol. I crave sweets all the time, but since I'm diabetic I can't have them, unless their sugar-free..

Those are some tasty looking cookies and peanut butter is my very favorite! I bake cookies fairly often. I rarely buy packaged cookies unless my nephew decides he wants the Oreo cookies. Otherwise I bake them. As for me the only time I don't want anything sweet is when I am sick!
My stomach cant handle much if I'm not feeling well. But on the other hand if we're talking a cold type sick then yeah I say bring em' on!

That was sweet of you, Grandpa Bob! I wouldn't worry about how many your wife ate... they seem to have given her the energy to get better anyway, if she's back to work now! I saw that in another discussion of yours. Perhaps she just needed that extra little bit of sugar to get her there!
Brightest Blessings my friend.

Those cookies look great! I have not baked cookies since Christmas and then I bake 10 different kinds and passed most of them out as gifts. I usually bake sugar cookies at Easter time too for the kids that come to visit or to those we visit. I do not bake cookies too often because we do not eat that many sweets ut once a month I may make a pie, a cake or other dessert. But now you have me craving cookies so I am sure I will make some this week.
