I just curious, are you proud to be Indonesian? I ask it because I live in Malaysia. Sometimes, I proud to be Indonesia, the diversity, the unique cultures, the delicious food, and so on. But sometimes, I feel shy to be Indonesian, especially if go to money changer in Chow Kit. I feel shy because our rupiah is very cheap you know. I can say that our money (rupiah), sometimes, is a parameter of the wealth of our country. The higher value the better. Sometime I feel shy if someone asks me, "Indonesian is smart, but why your world rank of education is lower?". Yes friends, Indonesia is not a tiny nations like Singapore which has less citizens and regions. It is the main factor how education can not separate easily in our country. Hm, if someone asks me "Do you proud to be Indonesian?", may be I will answer "may be..." How about you friends? What will you answer if someone (like European people) ask you that question?

I absolutely proud to my country. I'm Indonesian and life in the west part. Our country has a lot of the natural resources, so it very potensially make our country become a rich and famous country in this world. But the worst thing is come from the government. Most of the present government member haven't do anything good or like they said when they campaign. If everymonth there are two or three members go their origin province and help the needy people like now in campaign progress. I think it will make improvement. Beside that, our government member seen to be work cooperate with their own political party members and with other political member will try to find each mistake. So it need unity in this country then we will see the bright future. With this condition, I still proud to become one of the Indoensian people. Although I'm not a native one. Keep post Happy myLotting...

It is not a matter of pride but more of responsibility as a citizen. Every citizen bear responsibilty for their country. If this country has a bad reputation because of the leaders using the opportunity to build their own wealth instead of enriching the people of the country, we must find ways to improve it. The question is how are we gonna do it? Let's pray that some day there will be the one(s) who will fight for this country. The one who will devote his/her life just for the welfare of the people of Indonesia. It nees time to change......

It is too bad I have no access to change the status of Indonesia. Indonesia is a rich country but I do not know why many people seem to look down on it. Is it because the people who has run this country have spoiled it by doing the corruption (instead of eradicating it). Indonesia consists of 27 provinces each having its own language and culture. So, its unity is easily broken off if we are (the citizens) not trying hard to change it. As your question whether or not I am proud to be Indonesian. My answer : I am proud if...........

I am Indonesian and whether I need to be proud or not I think it is not important. The important thing is that whether we contribute something to our country or not. If I am asked that question I will answer that of course I am proud to my nation (my country) but not my government.
