What is your operating system?

Wow operating system, yeah i love this topic. i use many operating system, i uses windows 98, windows XP, windows 7 beta, and my favorite linux distro is slackware. Well if you like playing games, then you may like to use windows XP or windows NT 2000. If you are into programming, wanna learn more about computers , i would suggest you start using linux or unix , these days there are many linux distro around for new users , such as , ubuntu, mandrake, and many many more. Speaking of programming, i guess it was long i did not do any programs.

i used XP. From i started to use PC, the operating system I see is always system produced by Microsoft. I have ever used Win95,Win98,Win2000. Now we used XP of course. The prodcuts of Microsoft have monopolized the operating system.

i have windows xp which is user friendly and comfortable in using with all necessary features which are essential for any operating system.

I use vista on my laptop, but where I work still uses XP

This is a good topic. I'm currently using vista on my desktop, which would not have been likely last year because I didn't like it back then. I think the reason that people dislike vista is that it only works well on good computers. Now that I have the vista user control settings switched off it doesn't keep nagging me all the time, which is good. If I didn't have such a good computer though I would probably stick with XP. This is because I am used to it and I find it is easier to install things compared to some Linux systems.

windows xp is better to me than vista, linux, and mac osx leopard, only because you have more to do and don't have to worry about security every time you start an application like vista does.

Mac OS X (10.5, I believe) - why? - if I remember correctly, it is because it is not Microsoft. The MacIntosh can run unix programs as well, though I don't know about linux.

I have windows xp service pack2.It is good to use, buy i heard from my friend that, there is no strong security in xp.He suggest me to use linux.But i dont know anything about linux, thats why i use xp.

i am using xp on my laptop. because its compatible with almost everything where as vista got some problem with some applications. vista got better look and little bit heavier then xp. i dont use animations and effects in OS.

I actually prefer the older version of Windows 98. It's the best one they have but I currently use XP. Vista is ok...nothing I'd pay extra for though. Have a good day!

My laptop is really showing it's age now and it's running a copy of Windows 2000. I'm not going to bother upgrading it, as I'll eventually upgrade the system anyways. On my desktop I use XP. It's what came installed on it. I don't like Vista and will probably skip it altogether and wait for whatever comes out next.

I tried many operation systems. Now I'm using Windows XP.Cause my wife will use my computer, and she think other operation systems are different with the OS with her working computer and can't use them well.

My operating system is Microsoft windows Vista, but my favourite operating system is microsoft XP. To me XP is more stable and reliable, for now Vista is a lot finer and more easier to use, but is crashes more than an XP with a Service Pack 2

hi there, i am a Vista user as of now. however i still use my windows XP operating system from time to time. to differentiate the two OS, there is/are not much of a difference when user interface is fairly concern, the thing that i like about the Vista is the look, it's cool but this OS lacks some applications that are found on the internet. also when playing games (LAN games) there are instances that the OS can't manage to fully perform what it's supposed to do. the OS, really depends on the type of computer user you are.

The operating system is Window XP. The reason I choose it is because there is no other choice for me. Windows XP is a good operating system actually. It is user-friendly and easy to use. I once wanted to use Linux. However, it is not in popular use until now. I have used if for about 4 years. It is stable for most of the time. The disavantage of it is too much update needed. I need to install the updates everyday. Cheers.

i use windows xp on my computer because it only has a very a minimal system requirement.we used to have vista but the computer works so slow because it is not compatible with the current hardware that we have.so when we changed it to xp,it works faster and better.so i guess,you should check first what operating system is best suited to your computer's hardware before installing an operating system...that's all.i hope i this could help.
