1) Use coupons wherever you can...as even the few cents make alot of difference 2) Save water. 3) Save electricity eg. switch off lights when no one is at home. 4) cook at home & eat less in restaurants 5) look in flyers where the stuffs are cheaper to buy. 6) Think before you buy anything... like whether you really need it or not.. 7) put aside money you earned per month and put it in a savings account or gics for later use. you never know when you might need it. Add if you guys know of any money saving techniques.. sharing is caring..

go live like the old ways....near the shore where you can go fishing for your viand, or go to the mountains where there is abundant twigs of trees where you can use for cooking your food..its magic no money needed!!!!!! though its more on physical crisis..lol! God Bless!

Great tips, thank you. Another coupon site is save.com In the meantime, another way that I manage to save money is by a total lifestyle change. I eat completely different than I used to. I spend far less and do not drive as much. I eat only enough to survive and keep from going hungry. My health may get somewhat compromised but I am not hungry. I make sure I buy what I need when it is on sale. IE: Vegetables and grains, meat and dairy. I get thrifty. I can make five meals out of one chicken. I buy less gifts or none at all right now. I have cut back on electronic toys and am considering getting rid of the cell phone possibly. that is a real cash grab. I try to save a little each month so that if something comes up and I really need some money, for an emergency, i have it.

yes cutting back on electronic toys is the best way to save money...people spend so much on electronics... which are unnecessary... for eg.. having a high end phone... why would you need a really good phone with wireless etc etc.. when you just use your phone for making calls... thats what i keep telling my brother..

Update: I am about to get rid of my cell phone and use for emergencies only. Turns out I can upgrade my internet connection and stick with the land line for ten dollars less per month. The cell phone is way too costly for what it is worth. Additionally, for light cleaning, I take the cloths I cleaned with and fill my basin with hot water with some bleach and layer the cloths in the basin, flat. I soak for a bit and then swoosh around before rinsing. I ring them out and hang to dry. This save a load of washing in the machine since I wont wash the cleaning cloths with anything but themselves. Also I got some repairs to the car so now I use less gas because the car is running more efficiently and I keep the tires at the optimum inflation rate. This helps a great deal. Eventually, I wont have a car and that is going to reduce a big cost for me.

I have now a days trying to find discount coupons and trying to find stores, which provide discounts and buying things from those shops. I am trying to sell old things or things that I don't use and trying to buy things I need with this money. I am also trying to switch off bulbs and other appliances, which I don't use. I am trying to collect rain water in buckets and other vessels and trying to save some water that I can save. I also think that saving money for the future is good so that we can use money when needed.

You know I started coupon clipping about a week ago and I can't believe how much money I am saving. I joined the forum www.afullcup.com and its a huge community of people saving money through coupon clipping. I started doing it and this is what I received FREE in the past week. -5 Garnier Fructis shampoos -5 Garnier Fructis conditioners -4 Colgate toothpastes -4 Aquafresh toothpastes -2 boxes of excedrin pain relievers And even more. You should really try this website especially if you are struggling with the economy the way it is. It really pays off trust me.

l do practice the same method like you, when come to saving money during this economic crisis time. We need to think twice when come to use the credit card, as well. Sometimes, l do save the last part of washing clothes water to clean the bathroom floor, too..

yea when you use your credit card.. you seem to forget that you need to pay them at the end of the month... thats a bad habit
