Has anyone heard of using duct tape to remove a wort?

My husband had a wort on his arm, and the doctor told him to use duct tape. Has this worked for anyone? If it has, please tell me, also if you know of any other ways please let me know!

My neice had one on the bottom of her foot and they used duct tape and it worked. I have always used wart remover medicine but it takes forever.
