Anyone here on the 'I've tried that' forum?

Not sure how I got there, but I get regular updates from the mods of this site and it might be worth joining. They give advice and links to legit homeworking opportunities and rely on feedback to locate the scammers. Just now I've been asked for any experiences I've had wrt In your PJ's, Niche Blitzrieg and Build a Niche Store. I haven't but some here may have done. One thing this site has taught me is this: The big money is made by setting up the sites themselves, rather than promoting them. That, or going for telecommuting/web research/other skilled professional googlewords, rather than 'work from home opportunities' which attracts mainly scammers. In your PJ's is actually an ebook written by a successful WFH housewife, who proves straightaway that ebook self-publishing is one way to go! So, here's a free tip for all my foreign friends here - especially those from Asia, who I see as being particularly at risk from unscrupulous exploiters. Don't waste your brainpower on ptc rubbish. Instead, join a freelancing site (getafreelancer is the best free one I know) And put 'translation' down as one of your skills. So many of the other providers on these sites just put 'data inputting' or 'data entry' as their skill, and it's silly. But good news for you others, though! You can write well enough here to get money translating for a living - either English to mother tongue or vv. You don't need perfect English for this - the buyers use freelance copywriters and editors to 'tidy up' what you've done - people like me, whose knowledge of, say, Hindi is limited to what they can pick up from their local takeaway restaurant! Once I get to 500 posts, I'll put links to the work that's available, and how to join to bid for it. Better still, I'll add 'translation' to my list of skills, and pass the work on. You will be one of my team of 'consultants' at LanceIT (which is what I've decided to call my company when I finally can afford to register it at Companies House UK) This isn't a scam post, and it isn't anything linked to affiliation. It's called friendship. And how the hell I got to this point from my initial title, I'll never know. Chana Dal, y'all!

Nice tips. Have any experience or tips on how to bid on those freelancer sites? Many people find it difficult to find the trick. If you have any good idea, please can you share it too? I really liked the 'out of box' thinking, regarding the skillset.

Wow..Great tips really. I wish this discussion could be made sticky, if possible. Now, I'll go and make some searches as you said.
