Crying in the bathroom?

Yesterday I asked my teacher to go to the restroom. I went in and I was looking for a stall. I heard someone breathing really hard in one of them so I kind of felt a little awkward at first. I went in one stall and the big stall hoping I wasn't barging in but I came right back out. People need to make sure to flush efficiently these day. I went in a stall that was one stall away from the big one and the breathing got louder. So I knew the one I had skipped was the one she was in. That stall had a broken lock. So I went to one farther down. I came out and I heard someone actually crying now. I washed my hands and she was still crying. I wanted to go knock on the stall door. But I didn't know if she would open or not. I don't know if I should have asked her if she was okay or not. I didn't even know who she was. I guess I didn't want her to be like,"Leave me alone!" or something. Would you have asked her if she was okay?

More the likely if she was in the stall of a bathroom crying her eyes out, thats exactly whats she wanted (was to be left alone). I believe you did the right thing.

Hi cillysophie, I think I would have asked her if she was okay from the other side of the door . Since she was in the bathroom she didn't want anyone to see her crying . When I cry I want to get away from people, have a good cry , dry my eyes and go back to what I was doing . It was nice of you to be concerned . Alot of people would have walked in and out of the bathroom and never gave her a thought. It's pretty sad .

Thanx 4 the response Starz but I agree with you, but sometimes we do choose to ignore things so we won't meddle. Probably the same reason michaeldadona below said. We don't want to walk into a problem that could ruin our own lives.

NOPE AND I WOULDN'T By logic thinking and common sense, why didn't she call for help or were there two (2) people inside?. The main point here is, give help for those who need help. I don't want to be "too" in this case, better take thing moderately for my decision making. What would happen if I rub into someone who can jeopardize my Life?

You have a point there. Maybe it was just my instincts telling me to walk away.

If I were you,I would ask her if she was ok.If it possible I would offer her some helps or anything that could made her feel better. But if she rejected my offers,I must understand that she might be need a space and time to be alone. And I will give her those things so she could express her feeling without ashame..Hoping she could be much better.
