Paid review sites please!

I like writing reviews, and I've been writing for Reviewstream for a while. I find it to be a good, honest site and have had no real complaints there. But recently I'm finding it so much more difficult to earn the full $2 per review. (Maybe they're being less generous because of the recession.. ). When I first started at the site I used to get paid the higher amount for approximately 40% of my reviews. But now, however long I make them, and however good they are (lol, I know that this is just in my opinion!) I'm only being paid the bulk rate of 40 cents. This, as you can imagine makes it much more difficult to reach payout. So, I'm wondering if there are any other good review sites out there. I'm most interested in sites where your earnings don't depend on page views or ratings from other users, as it's writing that I enjoy, not endlessly promoting my work.. Are there any other review sites that just pay you for writing a good quality review? Thanks.

Why is it I'm the only one that has had a problem with reviewstream. I wrote a review for the DVD "mamma mia and got an intant message that this was not accepted. It wasn't good enough and to write a better quality one. But the message came quick enough that there was no way someone could have even read it, let alone make a decision on it. The only thing that I can think of is maybe I misspelled a word or a couple of words and that automatically rejects it. haqs anyone else had htis problem with Reviewstream?

Thank you very much, that's the way I thought. I never went back either. If that was it, somewhere on the site it should have at least recommended that your review be a certain amount of words. But it offered no guidelines at all. I appreciate your response.

Yes, when reviewstream rejects reviews immediately it's because they are too short. Just add to it until it gets accepted!

I write for Associated Content. They pay you upfront pay for your articles, reviews, etc. Yes we get page views as well, but I haven't promoted my work in sometime, and the page views keep increasing.

Thanks MaryLynn, I occasionally write for Associated Content, but sadly as I live outside the US I can't get paid upfront for my articles. I'd love to be able to! So I have to rely on page views, which doesn't really work for me unfortunately.

why can't you get upfront pay for your articles through AC? You will have to message me your AC link, I'll help get your page views up.

Hi MaryLynne, it's actually part of the rules that you can't get upfront payments if you're outside the US. Because of this I haven't written much there, I've just done a few articles, which don't get too many page views. Thanks for the offer of help. I'll message you my link, and will look at your articles as well.

I have been with CIAO for a while now, and they do pay but more effort needed. I'm through with compareby.us, my payment stuck and not long after that my account has been suspended... So far CIAO is the best paid reviews site I know. BR.b

Hmm, I'm hearing some positive things about Ciao here. Maybe I'll try it, although I am dubious on relying on other members for my payments. Doesn't that require a fair bit of self-promotion? - which I'm not too good at, and I just don't have the time to do. I'm glad that you're having some success there. Thanks a lot for your answer.

You might want to check out AER Tech Online. They pay you about a dollar apiece to rewrite their 600 word articles. I think minimum payout is $10.00. They seem to have plenty of articles to keep you busy. Ciao and dooyoo pay you to write and rate product and movie reviews but it takes a while to add up.

Yes, I agree rocketsky, they're great if you like writing, as I do too. And yes, myLot is a good one, as it pays you for having fun, and you don't need to doubt that you will be paid.
