The sound could be the fans that is working out. Or the beeping of the actions your making that the computer sound is making. Check if your using the onboard sound card while your also using the sound card that you've either installed or is a separate hardware part that isnt intergrated with the motherboard.

That kind of noice coming from the cpu fan because the heat sink covered with dust, Bad SMPS fan (Power Supply) and HDD. first you should check the CPU fan if it has dust, clean the CPU fan completely by any paint brush or vaccum cleaner and after that you feel same problem then call any Computer Hardware Engineer. Hope he will definitely give you right suggestion.

Check the Power Supply fan on your computer, usually when a fan will cause a lot of dust with the noise sound. Or, you can call a computer technician, if you do not want to do for fear of damage. Clean all the dust on your computer, and give the engine oil on the fan to skim your fan. I think with all the dust clears on your computer, then the noise will not be back.

It had lot of dust in it and I cleaned.Though I thought of lubricating the fan, due to fear of it may get damaged , I did not do that. Thanks for your valuable suggestion.

More than likely it is the CPU fan. I have seen this in several computers before. I would think that a new fan would be inexpensive. You can tell what it is by taking off the cover and restarting your computer. I really don't know of anything else that would make a noise from your computer but a fan. It could be from the processor, power supply, or sometimes there are extra coolant fans in some computers.

Is confirm the noise is coming from you cpu because the heat sink is covered with dusk. -Get a clean paint brush and a vacuum cleaner to clean the fan. that solve my issue last time. -Basically dust the cpu fan while, holding near to the vacuum to clean the dust Hope it work for you ..good luck

My be there will be some with the porwer supply, may be the motherboard is not getting that much sufficient power supply to it, and the processor gets heated up becoz of the and when the heating increses the speed of the fan which is sticked on the processor is also get incresed, becoz it adjust it's speed as per the temperature, it rotates more than 5500 rotation per minute that's y it makes noise, or the other thing is it will be the noise of ur hard drive, so better you get it check with some expert..

A picture of a hard drive - A harddrive is a computer hardware that is used to store data ( like songs, pictures, softwares etc).
I think your hard drive is making that noise which you are hearing. Noise from hard drive is normal if it isnt too much. When a hard drive gets old then after a period it starts to make noise. But it is a sound of ageing so my opinion is to take regular backup of your hard drive.

Hi, kumarpslv! Have you though about just leaving your computer off for a while? I hope that you can get this resolved. I am sorry that you are having problems.. If that does not help then maybe, you should consult with someone that specializes in computer repairing. I hope that this advice may help. It sounds like you may just have a minor problem. This may be something that you can correct on your own.

Is it a wheezing sound? It could just be the fan...nothing to worry about that. That helps keep your cpu from overheating and thus crashing at some point if it does over heat.

Most of the time if the processor is ruined then you will begin to get all kind of system error messages. I know I could fix but ain't that the problem? being so far away? I would love to buy any old computers and/or especia laptops if you have any to sell. I don't want any personal files; you can wipe or remove hard drives if hou have any to sell. I need to upgrade but I don't have a lot of cash. Oh, by the way I live in North Carolina, USA.

I would like to buy any old computers if you have any you don't want anymore. You can wipe the hard drive or remove it if necessary. I just need to upgrade what I have and I don't have much cash. I would especially like a good laptop. If you can't I understand, I just thought I would mention. I live in North Carolina and I will send you a friend request. Any thing I can do to help; ask. I don't know it all but I will give you an honest try.

I believe it is the power supply. Sometimes dust get accumulated in the power supply are. Try and clean it up but be very careful when doing this. There are equipment that you can buy that cleans your PC from the inside from places like Staples, Best Buy and CompUSA. I think that this will fix your noise problem on your PC.

Emergency repair procedure "A"...Kick it. Aside from that, everyone else says what is needed to be said. But at 7 years old, I would probably upgrade or replace it. Just my way of things, get a quad core processor...You won't regret it.

please remembetr one thing. When you go to upgrade the processor make sure that the motherboard will accept that much of an upgrade. Sometimes it's better to upgrade the whole system. I haven't heard of processors making noise unless the fan has been out so ling that it has ruined the processor. You may want to get an external fan on your next computer in addition. to the cpu fan. Just out of curiousity what is your old computer; I mean processor speed and random as well as hard drive space.I don't want to know anything classified it's just a hobby of mine.
