WHY... WHY... WHY? Why turn on your family and kill children?

How many more tradegies will we hear about as a result of this economic crisis and the constant loss of jobs?
How many more will decide to end the lives of their loved ones in response to the loss of their jobs?
Is the tendency to hurt others a sign of weakness or just plain frustration?
The lastest news of the Los Angeles man who murdered his family and then turned the gun on himself as left me concerned more than ever. How many more men will turn the gun on their family after losing their jobs or facing some form of hardship?
Based on what is happening on the global scene more and more of us will lose our jobs. That is a reality that we have to make plans for and I think suicide is a cowardly way out.
With the news of the massacre committed by the 17 year old youth in Germany and that by the man in Alabama, now this Los Angeles tradegy I am worried this behaviour may become a trend and many more families are in for loss and suffering.
It is not like these events are a first but it seems that people are now becoming more used to the idea of taking out their anger and frustration on others.
Are we becoming more intolerable of each other without admitting it as well as less capable of dealing with stress?
Will this combination be the undoing of many of us and our families during this global crisis?
Here's the link to the Los Angeles killings.

Is this just a part of life and am I just on a path of "much ado about nothing?"

This kind of stuff is very sad, I really hate that people would do this, and I know I can't even start to understand how the couple felt, and why so many people do this not only now, but before the economic crisis. I wish that their was a way to know, to reach out to people like this, instead of hearing about it on the news, when it's too late. I hope that the families can heal though, and I hope that more people reach out instead of resolving to this.

I'm glad you agree! I hope more and more people can find organizations to help them, or if nothing else sites like this to help make money and reach out to people!

I know it is terrible for people to have that kind of frustration in their lives that they feel the only way out is to kill someone. I wish that people would just
be able to live their lives and not do anything to hurt anyone else. These are things that are so sad and desperate to hear about.

I really think we ought to invest more in coping skills and proper socialization therefore increasing the respect we have for other persons and their properties.
I believe that would make it harder for someone to even think of killing someone else. The ability to deal with stress is really lacking in our society today.

There are a lot of things, in this world, that we simply can't begin to understand. This is certainly something that I can't grasp. It's really sad, when this type of thing happens. I certainly do. I don't think that we can all understand what is going on in their minds.
