Well I would make some mac and cheese and some kind of veggie and roll. I make homemade mac and cheese not that boxed stuff, Or how about tuna casserole. That is always good. Hot dogs and beans, make breakfast for dinner. Any of those would make a good wholesome meal.

Breakfast has already been mentioned. We do that often at our house. Also grilled cheese and soup. It depends on what you are in the mood for. My favorite is to make some spaghetti and then mix it in butter and add grated cheese ontop. My kids love that too!

Sometimes when I am in your shoes, we will have breakfast for dinner. Make pancakes and scrambled or fried eggs. Bacon or sausage if you have it on hand. Add some fruit, fresh or canned.

hello moneymommy i am here to the rescue! lol the other night i was tired and really didn't feel like cooking anything for dinner, so i fixed grilled cheese sandwiches and warmed up some tomato soup out of a can for dinner. i didn't hear any complaints either. lol and that does sound good again for dinner tonight, it has been raining here almost all day today as well. and i was out doing errands this morning as well, getting soaked from the rain, every time that i would have to stop somewhere and get out of the car. grrr. every time that i get myself an umbrella, one of the boys gets ahold of it and tears it up or throws it away or looses it. good luck on deciding what that you are going to have for your-all's dinner tonight. take care and have a beautiful afternoon.

since I am answering this way late I guess you found your answer by now, I would go with a macaroni made with cheese, or vegetable lasagna or spaghetti, , salad and soup, sandwiches and soup, even an omelette.

hi moneymommy, my dear freind, most of the time in our house we dont make proper food in dinner. we either do a soup with a toast or something, or we will stick to something made out of egg, or we will stick to fried rice . i mean we make a very easy thing to cook in night. not like in lunch, a big menu of things to make and then all tired while eating. in the night we eith er eat what is left in for lunch and add something to it, or noodles or pasta, something easy i mean. you can try something like us.

Potato + Tomato + Egg + Sandwich Bread = Satsuka I learned it from one Japanase and I like it on my first trial. Not too much time taken to do this kind of simple menu. As it just like egg scramble. Take the boiled potato and blend it. Cut the tomato into cubes and for egg put it in microwave-medium setting-1 minute. What else?. Sandwiched all of them with sandwich bread.

I always make pasta when this happens to me. I keep canned salmon and canned cream soup in teh pantry and always have some frozen vegies. Casserole is ready.

My first suggestion would be to make up a quick spaghetti...that is my first thing when I didnt really think of dinner until it was too late... thank goodness for some tomato sauce, a few spices, olive oil and some spaghetti noodles....LOL, then I butter up some bread and within a half hour everyone is eating!! LOL I hope you had something good!!!
