Anyone on here from the Boston area, or have been to Boston and used the public transportation? I am from Boston, and I saw on the news a couple nights ago that they are going to be jacking up the price of a bus/subway pass. It's already gone up sort of recently. I remember the days where the fare was a dollar. It then went up to a dollar and a quarter (when I first moved into the city, 4 years ago) Above ground subway stops used to be free, too. Then last year it went up to 2 dollars and the above ground stops were no longer free. Now I am hearing it is going to be 2.60 per ride. If that doesn't suck enough, I heard that they are going to stop service on the weekends. What does everyone think about this? Anyone from Boston have more information about this?
