I think I have about learned my lesson about buying computer components from Ebay. I just installed vista in my computer and Aero would not work. After some research I found out that my graphics card was out of date and would not support vista so I bout one off of Ebay. It came In today and I discovered that the box was right but the card was older then the one I have in my computer now. So still no Aero and have to wait for a response from the seller before i can do anything else.has this ever happened to you and what did you do about it?

Personally, I will not buy stuff that cost more than $30 from ebay because for me it is quite risky. I only bought a book from ebay. I think that ebay has a buyer protection system, you can try to use it to get your money back.

I thought we could make a formal complaint to eBay? A fellow countryman of mine sent something which was slightly different to a buyer from that shown in a photo. Not long after that he was visited by two police officers who queried him about this matter. I do not know what actually transpired after that. Since it was a breach of trust maybe you can file a police report. all the best on getting what is due to you, rosdimy

I tend not to buy from ebay anymore unless it is someone that I have had good experience with before. For computer parts, I go to geeks dot com for a lot of cheap parts. Their shipping prices are awful but, most parts have a 90 day warranty if refurbished and factory warranty if new. I lost money on ebay when I was building a computer for a friend. I needed a part and this person sent it to me but, it was not the part that was listed on their site. I ended up keeping it as they would not exchange it and they had left ebay. Good Luck! Kat
