I have things for first aid, but not necessarily all in one place. I'd be able to find them in a hurry though. It is a good idea to keep the basics around, just in case. I also think that it is a good idea to take a First Aid and CPR course. Too man people try to treat burns and such in the ways there Grandparents did, and often, those ways do more harm than good. So, in addition to having First Aid suppplies around, I think it is important to know what to do in the event of an emergency.

I believe that a first aid kit is very important to have in every home. I have a first aid kit at home and even though it's just me and my husband living at home, we still find it very useful like for treatment of simple burns and cuts.

Yes we have a fully stocked cabinet with first aid in it, just in case in the home, I have actually got a first aid kit in the car too! I think it is also important that you have a first aid package when travelling by car, just in case of emergencies. Also it's good to check the items in your first aid package in case they run out of date or need to be replenished if they have run out.

Considering how clumsy my partner and I are, yes we always have the medical essentials! It's always a good idea to have one in the house though for anyone. Most accidents happen in the home and you never know what's going to happen.

zhuhuifen46,
IMO, a first aid kit is really a necessity and mandatory for every house. Accidents just like weather can be unpredictable most of the time and definitely never our asking so, like having an umbrella for a rainy day, we should have a first aid pack for an accident.
In my first aid kit, I will the basic plasters, gauze dressing, adhesive tape, sterilized pack, cotton balls, iodine, bandages, burn ointment and some panadols to handle some small incidents or help out with anything severe till professional attention can be administered.
Cheers.
