what is the right age to have a mobile

what do you think is the right age to own a mobile. for instance i got my first mobile [nokia3110] at the age of 15.and my whole family other than my uncle who gifted it to me , were furious.better still,they even took away the external memory card.
what do you reckon is the right age to own a mobile phone.

I think there is no such thing like what is the most right age to have a mobile phone. It is all depends on the child. If the parents think the child can have a mobile phone for emergency usage then I think there shouldn't be a problem. In my opinion,I think parents play important role in deciding whether to give their child a mobile phone at young age.
