Do you hear from your grown children on a regular basis? If so how often. Mine all call about once a week. That way we are included in what is going on in the family, as the old people, we find our family tends to leave us out, don't worry Mom and Dad, what they don't understand is we will worry more if we don't know and do better if we stay in touch.

Yes, I have two sons in their twenties who are living 30 miles and approx 200 miles away. I hear from them both regularly via text/email/phone call (& VERY occasionally by letter). We keep each other updated about what is going on in our lives and share the ups and downs. I'm also lucky that my mum lives just a short distance from me so I can visit her regularly.

Ours lives with us, so we see her everyday. But as for hearing from her, that's on a monthly basis!! She can go for weeks without saying a word to me. Sigh. She's finally started to understand why I call her when she's gone for a few days (like in the first 2 hours!)just to make sure she's alright. She'll call first, and save herself the embarrassment of mom calling. Bout time!
