Yes you earn dollars here in mylot. I am not sure that the level has any effect on your earnings. But one things is for sure. The more you respond to dicussion and the more you start a discussion the higher the income.

I does not affect your earning I believe..The stars only aknoledge how active you are in a forum

You get a star when you have reached you 100th post. The number inside the star is your rating. 1 being the highest and 10 being the lowest. Your rating doesn't affect your income though.

There are two kinds of 'levels' in MyLot. Neither really have any effect on how much you earn. The first is the number in brackets that you see beside your name. That indicates how many discussions and responses you have made (but is not affected by the number of comments to responses). Once you have reached 100 posts, you will see a star appear by your name. That is your 'user rating' or 'Discussion Rating System' number which is based on whether other users give you a '+' or a '-' for your discussions and responses. Mostly, you should never get a '-' ... it should really only be used if a response is really inappropriate or off topic or if a discussion is thought to be not the kind that should be on MyLot, anyway. If you know and follow the Guidelines you should find it easy to avoid that. When your number of posts reaches 200, you have the ability to use emoticons in your posts and when you reach 500, you are able to copy and paste text (such as URLs and text from other sites) into your discussions and responses. This last privilege will allow you to quote things to illustrate your discussions and responses. The reason why it is not allowed before is that some people have tried to misuse copying and pasting in order to try to earn more. It is assumed that, by the time you have reached 500 posts, you will have read and understood the Guidelines and should know what MyLot is about and what is and is not allowed. As I have said, none of these numbers substantially affect your earnings, though MyLot do state that your user rating is 'factored in' to the earnings algorithm, so it is presumably better to try to have a high user rating. You can best achieve this, I think, by following the Guidelines and by being friendly and making friends.
