What are you doing to help the environment? Are you GREEN?

I have been recycling in many different ways for ages. Selling aluminum cans, curbside recycling, hand me downs from family, etc... I am super diligent about turning off lights although I am guilty of leaving the tv on nonstop (I like to sleep with it on) and the computer occasionally. I keep the thermostat low and only wash full loads of clothes and dishes. So my question for you is what do you do? Do you think global warming is a scam? Is it a big lie? If you believe that, what convinced you? Do you feel a sense of urgency to make this planet better for our posterity?

I don't think global warming is a scam. I believe it is a true thing and it is urgent. I can't say that I am very green, but at lease I am kind of green. I don't use a lot of plastic bags. I don't use air conditioning. I don't buy clothes unless I really need it. however, I always turn lights on and leave the computer or TV set on. As far as I know, the direct reason for global warming is the emission of co2. so it is very important that we should use our cars as little as possible. I always use public transportation vehicle.

I firmly believe that global warming isn't a big lie nor a scam created by concerned citizens of the planet. Rather, it is a glaring truth of the effects of our wrongdoings with regards to nature and our environment. Like you, I also try to give my share in keeping this place a great one to live in. I try to gather scratch or used piles of paper (particularly those with writings on the front and back page already) and when they reach at least a kilogram, I bring them to the junk shop, along with plastic bottles, tin cans, empty glass bottles, and broken pails. Through this, not only do I get to declutter the space we're living in; but I earn a few cents from this, too. With respect to energy conservation, I try to refrain from using the television every weekends. Instead, I get myself busy with organizing our clothes in the drawers, or dust off nooks of the house here and there. I get to practice this more often and more strictly when my spouse is in the workplace, because he is fond of watching tv shows on extended hours, along with using the electric fan day-in and day-out.

I'm quite sure that global warming is a scam, it's made a lot of people rich particularly Mr. Al Gore. The earth has warming and cooling cycles--back in the 70's the big thing was that we were heading towards a new ice age in 30 years! Regardless, I believe that we consume too much and I cut down where I can. I recycle cans by donating them to the Shriners to help treat children, I practice hypermile driving and drive only when necessary and combine trips, I unplug everything unless I'm using it (I saved $47 last month on my electric bill that way), I'll be growing a garden this year and in the past couple of days I've quit using Kleenex and switched to hankies. I no longer use paper towels, either, a myLotter clued me in on using newspaper for greasy stuff and cleaning windows and the like. I do want to leave the earth better for my grandchildren but I don't for a second believe that garbage about global warming.

It is definitely neither a scam nor a lie made up by some people having ulterior motives,,, It is glaring truth that has been proved and is happening around us, we can feel the raise of temperature of the evironment...The evironment is become worse and worse..All of these are primarly caused by human being's activites. Whoever started the troubel should end it.Everybody in the earth have the responsibility and right to protect us evironment suffering from more damage..If we human being want to live longer in the earth, wE have to do something usefull immediately, or it is too late,,,....

I do not think global warming is a scam. I think we should try our best to recycle things. I am right now trying to collect rain water and trying to use rain water instead of water. I am also trying to use less electricity. I am also walking and cycling than using the bikes more. I think cycling is a very good exercise and also helps to save fuel. I have also cut down unnecessary using of vehicles.

No I don't think global warming is a scam. Here we have electricity and water problems. I think we should use rainwater to save water and use solar energy to save electricity. I am planning to put a rainwater harvesting system to save the water during the rainy days. Now a days I am collecting rain water in the buckets when it rains. I am also thinking of putting a solar system when I get money to save some electricity.
