Razr screen turning white...

Okay. The customer service representatives were of no help to me. My motorola razor's screen keeps going white. All white. I will be texting or I will just open the phone and the screen will go completely white and I have to take the battery out and put it back in sometimes more than once before the screen comes back. Does anybody know why this is and if there is any way to fix it? I am extremely low on money right now and do not want to resort to buying a new phone. And no, I do not have insurance or an upgrade or anything of the sort to fall back on. I would be paying full price for a phone so any information on what is wrong with my phone would be helpful.
