There is no rush for you to get married. Of course I realize that you are not necessarily looking into marriage right now but it seems that you are showing some interest in what it might take for a good marriage to work. There are many keys in a relationship that keep it vital and strong. Sometimes it just takes years of experience and getting to know the real self before going about finding the right mate. It is not always easy joining two lives together. We all have our own ways of handling things in our lives and we might not always agree with our partner. That is what acceptance and true love is all about. Sometimes it takes maturity to enter into a marriage. The marriage is what needs to be planned right. I will tell you one thing. Communication is very important in a union. Without some kind of communicating in a marriage things can have a way of going down hill especially if one of the partners are left in the dark.

There is no magic formula to a good marriage - I believe that we really have to work at it. The most important things (besides love) - trust, communication and respect. Trusting each other, even when we are out of the sight of each other is very important. I wouldn't want to worry about whether my husband is behaving himself when I'm not around. And communication - especially misunderstandings or disagreement, talking it out and discussing will help to solve a lot of problems, and dispel any unhappy or negative feelings. Respect - that goes without saying; if you don't respect each other, a lot of things would fall apart. It's not easy - we are still working at it!

based on my experience, it is love, respect and understanding. if you dont have this in your relationship, then have a second thought regarding marrying this guy/gal. you should always respect and understand one another and of course, love will always be around....
