The place in my fond list is Valparai near Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, India. It is a hill station wherein up through the hill we can see beautiful tea estates. On the top of the hill, there is Balaji Temple. I really loved the greenery there. At the foot of the hill, there is Aliyar Dam. A fine place to visit.

Here are a few of the places that I’ve visited in India that have really blown me away. Although I’ve only been travelling around India for a few years after childhood, it’s managed to surpass any other country I’ve visited in terms of being truly beautiful and utterly chaotic at the same time. The places I’ve listed here are bits of India that have left me stunned for any number of reasons. It might be because the scenery’s particularly nice, it may be down to the friendliness of the people or it may be because of interesting local customs. Sometimes it’s all above three. This list is by no means comprehensive: you could spend your whole life exploring India and never see all of it. As this is just the beginning of my trip, there are many major omissions from this list. Varanasi and Jaisalmer are just two places that I’ve not visited yet. But here are a few places that I’ve really loved and you might enjoy too. Ajanta/Ellora, Maharashtra Darjeeling, West Bengal Golden Temple, Amritsar Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh Manali, Himachal Pradesh Kerala Leh, Ladakh Nubra Valley, Ladakh Parvati Valley, Himachal Pradesh Srinagar, Kashmir Mount Abu, Rajasthan Udaipur, Rajasthan
