You have the ability to stop time, when and for whom would you do it?

Everyday we seem to have deadlines left and right. As if the 8 hours we work in a day is not enough to finish everything we need to get done. First we wake up in the morning to prepare for work, commute to the office then, the boss comes in and gives you insurmountable tasks of assignments! You just barely had enough time to have lunch, then you remember that you still have to drop by the grocery to refresh your supplies at home. When you finally got home, you need to prepare food for the family and sort out all the bills that needed to be paid! On top of all that, your best friend needs to discuss an important matter with you. Oh, and your kid wants help with homework... I know it's probably too much, but would you stop or slow down time for work? or family? or some quality time with your friend? or time for your self? I hope to hear from you! Remember what uncle Ben said? "With great power comes great responsibility." Happy myLotting!!!

Tempting thought! I think I'd stop time so I could relax once in a while. I have much more to do than I can handle most of the time, and a break with myLot can be the only way to take a breather.

I would stop time to get everything in the day I needed to get done, done! I just don't have enough time. I have work, school, family, and chores and I never have enough time. I would like more time. At least if I stopped time I would not have to rush through the day. Maybe I could even have time to relax! That sounds so good! Nice topic;-)

Then i would have to ask, how do you do it? I remember adding you yesterday as a friend with just two digit-reputation. Now, you have even exceeded me! To top it all, you still have a household to run, a family to take care of and kids to send to school! Do tell how you do it! :) Least of all start and respond to discussions here at mylot. For some people, posting comments here is a form of relaxation, they don't really care about getting paid. That just turned into an additional perk. I got several ideas from mylot when I wrote at helium. anyway, that's another topic. good comment! thank you for dropping myLot! it is always a pleasure. Cheers!

No, I would not want time to stop. My day goes exactly how you describe so you can well imagine what I go thru every 24 hrs. I am rather having an ostrich attitude to life now…denying everything, letting nothing register and just going thru the chores daily just because they NEED to be done…no escaping that. And the faster it goes by the better for me. The more time we have, the more jobs will manage to appear by themselves and we, the working people will never really be off our loads. So its better that time flies and we go about our daily lives with our insignificant happiness and sadness and moments of joy and relaxation. Just like too much of anything is bad, too much of time is not good either…even if chores don’t appear by themselves, we will have too much time to relax and gradually stop enjoying that too!

Well said, I guess that's how you see it. But don't you also want to extend the time when you enjoy those moments that really count? Even just for a few minutes longer? he he he. Thanks for dropping by myLot! Cheers!

I would fast forward my time at work as it is my least favourite place to be although it is necessary. I would stop and slow down the times spent with my family, friends and my partner as life is short and those memories are one to treasure. There is hardly enough hours in the day to do everything we need to do and it does lead to little quality time. That quote is one of my favourite as well "With great power comes great responsibility." and to think it came from a comic book writer
