Adult Tantrum....what a brat!

I used to have a good friend named Heather. Now she is nothing more to me than an annoying, temper tantrum throwing brat! She is 20 years old and yes she is still young. However, most of the times that we spent together she displayed a maturity that surpassed her years. However, I did begin to notice that when she was told no about something she would keep questioning it until she got her way. At first, I kind of ignored it because it was over little things that really didn't bother me. Well, one day her girlfriend (D) broke up with her. Of course she stayed in her room for a while and cried. I let her be. Then D called me and told me what was going on and was asking me for my opinion on the situation. Heather somehow heard my conversation and stormed into my room demanding that I give her the phone. I shook my head and turned away from her to finish my conversation. Heather proceeded to scream, yell, curse, and even stamp her feet demanding I give her the phone. I ordered her to get out of my room to which she called be a cold, heartless, 'witch'. Needless to say I was shocked by her behavior. She then came back into my room and showed me her arms. She had cut on herself several times and told me that if I did not give her the phone she would kill herself. I ended the conversation and clicked the phone closed. I told her she had one hour to get out of my house before I called the police to have her committed. She stomped off whispering under her breath as she left and slammed the door to her room. I waited a few minutes then went to talk with her and see if she was packing. When I opened the door she was lying on the floor unconscious, and empty pill bottle in her hand. I called 911 and told them that she had overdosed on pain killers. They came over and she managed to somehow wake up a little. She tried to lie and say the cuts on her arms were from washing dishes. I informed them of the events that occurred earlier. Of course, she tried to get out of the ambulance and attack me. The EMTs strapped her down and hauled her off. From what I heard they evaluated her and released her to her drug addict mother. Talk about stupid. Earlier today, her mother called up, intoxicated of course demanding that we let them come into our house and collect her things. We told them there was no way that was going to happen because we noticed that several things, including money had been stolen by her. Heather even admitted to it. well, of course, her mother insisted that she was going to send someone over to teach us a lesson. We told her to sober up and call us back then. In the meantime, we informed the police that she was threatening us. What happens now? I have no idea. I cannot believe the behavior of this girl. She has gone completely insane and deserves to be locked away in a mental asylum. Love to hear your thoughts on the situation. Have you ever had to deal with something like that?
