Who is your favorite guitar player..?

My favorite guitar player is Dave Mustaine from Megadeth (formerly of Metallica).
If you dont know who he is, hes probably one of, if not the best thrash guitarist around! He may not be the best/fastest soloist like Yngwie, Satriani, Vai, etc., but in the metal world everybody looks up into him (i guess). His guitar playing influenced me in playing guitar and anybody who have heard Megadeth albums or Metallicas Kill Em All will probably agree. Awesomeness.!

Hey there! This is really difficult question. There are so many great guitarists out there and to choose just one is really difficult. If I had to choose though, I'd have to say that John Petrucci of Dream Theater is my favorite.

I suggest listening to Scenes from a Memory. I think it's their best album. I really enjoyed all the songs on the album.

Believe me, i know its hard. But i decided long ago that Mustaine is the way to go cause i really like Thrash Metal.
Unfortunately, i dont listen to that much Dream Theatre. But i do know how good Petrucci is. Ive seen his lesson and its very informative and helpful. Any suggestion for a Dream Theatre album will be appreciated.

Mustaine is an awesome guitar player 
. Saw Megadeth live a couple of years ago, and they totally rocked the house down. Dave's one of my faves, but my absolute favorite has to be Zakk Wylde.

Wow! Ive never really seen Megadeth Live as they havent been to the Philippines. That would be so cool.
About Zakk Wylde, i saw a live video with him and Ozzy playing "It Gets Me Through". I know, its one of theyre newer songs (from the album Down To Earth 2000 i think). I saw that and how he performed and i told myself, i want to play like that. I almost stopped practicing around those times but i guess he pulled me up.
His hybrid/chicken pickin is sick!

Yeah, Megadeth has yet to make a stop in the Philippines. I saw Metallica back in 1991, well technically I didn't see them perform, I was just tail-gating with my big brother back then. Zakk is awesome, specially with his Black Label Society albums.

I am married to his cousin and I have learned so much about him from my husband I wish I could have meet him I have seen so many pics and heard so many stories about him! Dime Bag came to rock and thats just what he did1

in indonesia have a lot of band, but for the best bands are andra and the backbone, sheila on 7, dewa, padi,jikustik, angga. if you want to know you can find it in youtube for me the best songs are hitamku, sempurna, main hati from andra and tb, separuh nafas from dewa etc

well if you are a Filipino you might familiar with this girl name Aiza Segera...I like the way she play her guitar. and I like the way how she celebrate her 18th birthday. not only her talents attract me most also her beauty and good attitude. she also good in acting..

You should really check out Jason Becker if you have never seen him play. He doesnt play thrash but he is amazing. I think there are videos on youtube.

it is hard to compare many of these guitarists since they play such different styles of music. I know they all can melt faces.

yeah... maybe they are slow compared to the guitarist now a day but these guys are the foundations and icons who explore the limitations of strings. BTW. the guitarist from the band slapshock are also good.

man, there are so many i want to name.... but ill keep this short. first and foremost, Karl Logan of Manowar, in his solo "My Spirit Lives On", Jon Schaffer of Iced Earth, Because he writes all the music, and Herman Li of Dragonforce, because of his crazy style of playing
