Well, I go to work at the 33rd floor. Of course, I would refuse to take the stairs. If it's just the third floor, stairs would be fine. Between the two, I'd love to take the elevator more.

why the elevators scare you? the break-down? I have never come across the elevator break-down because I don't take elevator a lot. however, I can imagine that it is scary. running stairs is a very good exercise and I do it a lot. elevator is my lease favorite. I prefer escalator to elevator. but my favorite is climbing steps or stairs.

Break-down,falling down, being stuck in a metal box for god knows how long...That's what scare me,but i prefere the stairs also for the health benefit.Of cousce i will take the elevator if i got to go up to floors 43.

I guess it sort of depends for me. I usually take the stairs, because I like getting the extra exercise. Taking the elevator usually makes me feel kind of lazy, unless I have to go up lots of flights. If I have to go up several floors, then I will sometimes choose to take the elevator instead. Also, if I have a lot that I'm trying to carry, then I'll usually end up taking the elevator since it's easier than trying to lift things up the stairs. Normally though, I try to take the stairs most of the time.

There are advantanges of taking the stairs! You know they will never break down! They are much more reliable than an elevator! Also they do help keep you in shape! It's exercise and I gues every little bit of exercise does count! But if you're in a hurry the elevator is the best choice unless it is already broke down. Elevators rarely break down anyway but there is always a chance that they will.

If I am in pain or in a real hurry, I will teke the elevator. If I am feeling good and not running late, I will use the stairs. It just depends on the day.

Well I don't have a problem with elevator but when I'm in hurry I take the stairs since I don't have to wait for anything. When I'm not in a hurry and I feel lazy and what not I take the elevator which isn't very often.
