Oh, I would never allow my sons to smoke at all when they are young and I will also advise them not to smoke when they are adults for staying healthy. Smoking has serious effect upon body health, especially for the children. I don't smoke, either for the sake of my families' health. My sons will have their babies in the future, too. I hope my grandsons will not live in a smoky environment. But for drinking, it is not so serious as smoking in terms of bad effect as long as one doesn't get too drunken. I may advise my kids to drink moderately in the future. Good topic to discuss and have a nice day.

In the first place why did you get this idea of allowing your son/daughter to smoke & drink ? You cant really help when they start smoking or boozing without your knowledge. Better to give them advice on the ill effects of smoking & drinking rather han saying them to smoke & drink.

After 100 years of their age. Iam a non smoker and non drinker so would like my childrens to be like me. i ahve to allow them for such things than my limit would 100 years age. Practicaly childrens get matured around 20 years so at least upto 20 years i will no allow them to smoke and drink and later on it would be their decision when to start as they are able to think about thier future life.

I wouldn't allow my children to drink or smoke as long as they are children. When they become adults, they then make their own decisions. I can always advise them on the risks of smoking and drinking, but I can not expect to run their lives. Hopefully as children they will abide by my wishes, not to say that they would not do it behind my back.

I wouldn't set an age limit so that he wouldn't be looking forward to it. Anyways, he's just 3 and he sees no one who smokes or drinks in our house.

I wouldnt allow my kids to smoke at all even if they asked. If they asked i would be searching there room and everything in there, smoking is bad for you and it shouldnt even be a question brought up. Now drinking is a little different as long as they dont become some alocholic, they can drink when there drinking age comes up which in the united states is 21 and then they will be allowed just like i was. I did drink in highschool at parties but i wasnt big on it or anything and im still not.
