Well I even got the flu and that's highly unusual for me.....and I have had the earache thing....you feel good then wake up in the middle of the night with an awful earache! Hope you are feeling better soon!

i've actually been doing pretty good this year,probably in large part by not really being near others.had a minor sore throat,but that was about it so far. ..um..knock on wood.

I really do hope you feel better soon. I am thinking that your wife is much better now, at least I hope she is. I had some type of crud and still have some of the cough but it is getting better. I just wish I had my energy back.

So far, I'm ok, but we'll see as the winter weather rolls on. Hope you soon feel better.

Sorry to hear you are sick Grandpa Bob. I have not been on Mylot a lot because I have been taking care of my daughter who is very sick. She kept a fever going of 102 to 103. I was really worried because it would not go away. Now, she is up and moving and doing better. She is still home because she has all the other things happening like the sore throat and nose running. But, I sure am glad that her fever is gone. Hope you get better soon. And, try some Air-Born it is helping her out a lot. **Peace and Love get's you through everything in Life**

Hope you get better soon. I also got sick a week ago and that was really bad. I hate being sick because I am afraid to pass it on to my daughter. I don't want her to get sick, she is more fragile than I am.

Hey, Grandpa Bob. I'm just about finished with my second cold this winter. The first cold, I felt pretty miserable with. Sneezing and runny nose (was like someone turned on the water faucet) and coughing. This time around, my throat was so clogged up I felt like I needed a roto-rooter to clear it out! Alway, with my colds, the cough lingers for 3 or 4 weeks after I'm finished with the sneezing and runny nose. I'm at a disadvantage because I work as a cashier at a retail store and I have to handle merchandise that sick people want to buy. I wish they'd stay home and not spread their germs for me to catch!

Hi Grandpa Bob. It is the start of autumn here in Sydney and there is also a virus spreading around especially in schools. Lots of kids are getting sick. My kids are fine and I am lucky that I am well too. I will make sure though to get a flu vaccine this week. Hope you are feeling better now.

Uh-oh. Who is going to take care of you like you did with your wife? Is it all up to Buster again? Poor dog, it is up to him to keep the household running. I have sinus headaches, but so far I haven't had the cold kind of flu. Just the throw up kind of flu, with body aches, but it was a 48 hour thing. I wasn't have a stuffed up nose and clogged ears. My dad has awful trouble with that though. And it doesn't help that he has two burst ear drums and one ear has a tube in it.

I am sorry to hear that you are not too well, there are such a lot of nasty bugs around at the moment. We have had quite a few where I live including, winter vomiting bug, slapped cheek and chicken pox!! Luckily so far only one of my children *touch wood*have suffered from anything and that was my youngest son who had a head cold and ended up with a chest infection, he was really poorly and ended up on steroids and antibiotics, thankfully he is a lot better now. So many children have been poorly at the school my children attend so I am thankful that they have been ok, so far.

I too fought that flu bug for a month, I'm just now feeling good, I thought I got over it once, then a week later, it came back. I just kept taking medicine for it, and tried to take it easy and stay out of the cold and wind. After I got better then my husband caught it, he started taking antibiotics, and got over it fast, but it can stay around a long time.

Put some Vick's on the bottom of your feet and wear a pair of socks to help ease your cough. Before you do that, take a nice hot bath to help release the tension in those aching muscles! My Mom would add, then, right before you go lay down, take a dose of Nyquil and a shot of brandy (or whiskey). Hope you get to feeling better soon.

Hi gandpa bob! I'm a victim of a virus too...I have a terrible sore throat for 4 days already...it really hits me so hard that I am absent at work, I could not go out because I might spread the virus and also worsen my condition.

Hi Bob, Sorry to hear you caught what your wife had. Maybe she will bake you some cookies now. You take care of yourself, and get better fast. We will keep you in our prayers for a speedy recovery. My husband had a good cold, which I think was bronchitis about a month ago, it hung around for about a month, he had the chills and sweats with it too. But, he is ok now.
