After my daughter talked about Facebook I finally joined. Amazed to find so many oldtime myLotters there as well. Even a few friends around me I know are on including my next door neighbor. Now if I need sugar, milk, a steak etc,
I message him through Facebook and not call by phone. 
I have added an application called "FARMTOWN" which is a sims farming type game. Loads of fun so far for me there. Anyhow others here on Facebook what are your thoughts?

I saw you there!!! I accepted your friends request just today! I hope you enjoy your time on facebook. There are a lot of applications and it can become a bit time-consuming at times, but on the whole, as you say, it's a way of getting together with not only online friends, but neighbours and family too. I have the Farmtown application... you might like the Garden one of the Fish... can't remember what they're called now! I'm sure you'll enjoy it in there, and you'll keep bumping into people you know, plus they're friends. I have all the kids in my village on my friends list! ha ha ha.

The only app. I have and use is Farmtopwn.
I ignore all other app requests for now.
My daughter wants me in that Mafia app. Nahhh!

Grandpa Bob... I think you presumed who I was and now know, I've been so long coming back. I've even made friends with one of your friends now! I received a request last week. 
I look forward to receiving your farming gift and shall have to ponder what to send you back! I might even send you a little plant to start you off with your flower garden! Thank you for BR, my friend. I really didn't expect that but it's nice to receive. x
Elusive... I have the Garden, Fish and Farm. I do get a bit frustrated when I have to go and tend to my friends' when they're away though. Dang squirrels and birds get everywhere! I like the gifts too, or some of them, especially the Tinkerbell ones and the young animals. They're fun! Are you under the same name in there, and I can send you an Easter Egg? he he. As you already know, I'm a member of facebook. My family was 'strong arming' me to join for quite sometime, so finally one day I just did it! Now you'll 'actually' be able to see my photo, and some of my family too. 
I see you're on my daughter's friends list ... cool. Who invited who (just curious)? By the way, I hate 'most' photos of me, but since my family posts their's on facebook, I followed suit. Overall, I think facebook is a great way to keep in touch with a variety of people. It's fun to have online friends there too. I've found a couple of friends that I knew from my school days, and we're likely going to get together this year. One of them was my best friend, but we'd lost touch completely.

Ohhh boy.
Now the memory has to kick in.
Your daughter, does she have photos of a 17th BDay etc? And like over 1,000 photos total oh her Facebook page? I have no idea to whom is whom anymore from here and there due to different names than on myLot. I get cornfused easily. HAHAHA! I have no idea whom requested whom either.
Send me a PM telling me who is who in your family over there. I am lost now. HAHAHA! Being sick doesn't help the mind much either.

I am a member on facebook but very rarely get here AGB1 I really will have to get used to how things work there though as there are people there that I want to keep in touch with! I am also on windows live now and have found some wonderful friends from mylot there too! xxx

I signed up on Facebook and that is as far as it has gotten for me. I couldn't find my way around there. I have gotten a couple of emails where they were wanting to be on my friends list or something and I have no idea who they are so I didn't accept.

yup. facebook is a great way to connect with friends that i haven't seen in ages. And it gives me a glimpse of their life now. And i'm very happy that most of them are either happily married or living a great adult life.
In fact, through facebook, i've met up with some of these old pals that we're lost contact with through the years.

Hey Grandpa Bob. I have a facebook account. It's okay, but it isn't mylot! Actually I have a myspace account as well and prefer it over facebook. It's probably due to the fact that I've been using myspace longer than facebook. I joined myspace a few years ago (and before I found mylot), whereas I joined facebook only last year (and of course after mylot). But either are good to have and best of all they're free!

Hi Grandpa Bob! Wow, I might see you there! I have joined Facebook too just January of this year. I did enjoy being in touch with friends there and sometimes we chat, however, for the last two weeks I was not able to logged in FB since I have so many things to do. Whenever I have spare time, I just do some more catching up in mylot and FB has to wait for awhile.

I've been meaning to look at Facebook, I've never been there but heard a lot about it. There's nobody I'd want to contact or anything, but I've been told it has a lot of interesting things to do. If only I had the time!

I'm on Facebook. Are you going by Grandpa Bob? I don't do too much on there, but I have lots of friends and family on there and they are constantly asking me to join something or other. But I do enjoy talking to friends/bloggers and looking at the pictures.

I am on FaceBook as well, Love that farming game called Farm Town.. I have a guy there that I know that goes by the name of grandpa Bob..He is one of my neighbors on the farm town game..... He kinda looks like you... Do you have a twin brother.... that is a very hard worker?

Yes I try and do my best farming just like in real life with my gardening. So that game was a natural for me to add. Hahaha! I know you all too well over there in the farming community.

I'm not fimiliar with facebook or myspace just yet because I don't have time to anymore due to all the projects hubby and I have going on so please bear with me on that. I'm constantly getting tagged for this and that and I haven't a clue as to what it all means but hopefully I'll be able to figure it all out.... or will I? lol

I haven't join Facebook as I have other social sites that I go to and wouldn't have much time, as it is I am far too busy with mylot and others. But enjoy yourself there as my friend is on there and she enjoy it.

I don't spend a whole lot of time there, but I have found a lot of people that I was in school with, 35 to 40 years ago. It's been great seeing them after all this time, and finding out what they did when they 'grew up'. It's kind of sad though while I'm sitting at my computer talking to them. I mean, I still look the way I used to (in my mind), but they've all gotten old...

Hello there..I also joined about 2 years ago. My kids are all on there as well.
At first I thought it would be more for the younger generation...NOT!
I found an app called world friends and started adding a few people who looked interesting from other countries as I love to learn about their cultures and every day life. THey have become real friends. We chat daily, write to each other about our problems and goings on, and send each other cards or gifts at christmas. A few I also talk to by phone.
I love the many games and apps available. I was going to add the farm too, but I have so many now.
I love facebook to keep in touch for free with relatives in other provinces. I have found some school buddies I havent seen for over 30 years!!...
Anyways, I love facebook!
