Senator Chris Dodd is at it again; why am I not surprised? This man is the poster "child" for hypocrits! His picture should be in Webster's beside the definition for two-faced! The following article tells of his latest tirade about the bonuses at AIG and how they should be taxed when all the while it was he that installed the language in the "stimulis" porkage to keep them tax free! Tell us senator Dodd, which way do you want it? Oh, yeah, both ways! Here is the news article: http://www.newsmax.com/headlines/chris_dodd_bonuses/2009/03/17/192860.html

Yeh, I heard about this. So let me get this straight. they pushed through an unconstutional bill (tarp, aka the bailout) then don't like the reults, so they try to fix it with another unconstitutional act (federal interference in legal busines contracts and retroa active tax). hmmmm

Well by government standards there are only two ways to fix a problem: A. Throw money at it B. Create another problem They really are following standard protocol given the situation.

Hey Taskr, I was wondering where you'd disappeared to. Glad to know that you're still with us.

It just shows how dumb these people are. These bonus are part of a Legal Contract and considered sacred. It would be like the Bank loaning you money, a unsecured loan, and then criticizing you for using the money for a vacation. They loan you the money with the only stipulation being that you pay the money back with interest. Should they have the right to change the terms of the contract and tell you what you can and can not spend(legally) the money on? I think that the people in the one section of the company that lost money should not get a bonus but the people who worked and made money for the company should get their bonus. If we allow the Government to break contracts between people what will happen to the rule of law. The government will do what ever it wants.

Greetings Sir Rodney, Hmmm, let's see ... Dodd received the largest campaign contributions of any rep from AIG, inserted the 'generic' exemption text into the "spendulus" bill that allows for the AIG bonuses, and to boot, Chris and his buddies in Congress each get their cost of living 'bonus'. Sounds like they've got it all worked out. Oh wait! What about us-- the taxpayers???

Somebody should tell him that the "tingle up his leg" he felt when watching candidate 0bama wasn't a thrill of excitement, it was a mini-stroke that resulted in extensive brain damage.
