Self medication.....?

I am guilty of not seeing my doctor when I sometimes fall sick. It is mainly because I do not have enough time. And sometimes I find that when I do make an appointment with the doctor they just prescribe medication which I could have purchased over the counter at the pharmacy, therefore the whole process being a complete waste of time! In serious issues though, I do try and see a medical specialist.

You are making the assumption that a doctor knows more than you do about everything. I do not think that docros are well trained in nutrition or that docors are right about everything. On a lot of things i fell that i know as much about a subject as does my doctor.
