"Wisconsin: Live like you mean it"...
This "new" state slogan is about as new and inspiring as the rest of Doyle's one note samba. This one trick pony and his merry men in the legislature came up with a real doozie here and I'm not just whistling dixie, but I guess it does take two to tango.
"Live like you mean it" has been used, over-used, recycled, rehashed, repackaged and repeated so often it has footprints on it from the same person in 4 shoe sizes. The only thing that makes them look more foolish than choosing the slogan was the fact they're actually trying to register it as a trademark!
"The state's brand manager, Sarah Klavas, said the Department of Tourism thoroughly vetted the phrase before introducing it and is confident there will be no trademark infringement."
No trademark infringement, but no trademark either... unless you can trademark something that other people have used for years... including Ellyn Luros-Elson, author of the book.. "Live like you mean it".
I ran a yahoo search on "live like you mean it" -wisconsin and got 81,400 hits.
Yeah Doyle... real good work there.... and to be as original as this loser and his partners in crime...
Do you feel stupid yet?
