A friend of mine, whenever we driving on the road, he always initiate a topic, either computer - related, or politics - related. I pretty much not really good at both. Sometimes, I even think that he were trying to show off. Even though I tried to tell him my opinion, he criticizes mine with certainty of his own opinion. What a debate we always had. But, I won't like to limit myself just to two topics of weakness. So, sometimes I just avoid to have a conversation with him like that. Would your friends always do that?

A Friend...Is a person who knows what you are saying, even if you are not talking...understands what you’re feeling, even if you don’t understand your own feelings...will always forgive you, usually before you forgive yourself

Sure, I have friends who are constantly trying to show off or who are only interested in a few different topics, and I usually just go with it. These friends I'm talking about aren't best friends or anything like that - they're just associates that I sometimes hang out with, so I don't really mind it. I usually just let them go on about themselves or whatever the topic is, nod and pretend to understand/care, but really, it's annoying to be friends with someone who doesn't like having normal conversations (and only talks about him/herself and his/her talents). But what can you do?
