One of the most amazing things I learned about Richard Dean Anderson is that after college, he participated with a group of friends on a cross-country bike ride from Minnesota to Alaska. Isn't this awesome?! I just wonder where they spent the night or what they ate, etc. I believe I would like to do this, as much as I like to travel! for those of you who don't know this, this adventure opened his mind to what he wanted to do and that was be an actor.
something else I learned is that he has Mohawk native American Ancestry. I think there is some Indian in me. That's why I found this so interesting. He also has scottish, norwegian, and swedish ancestry.
I really admired MacGyver but I must admit, I couldn't help but be a little bit jealous at times (ha!ha!). I was wishing I was as smart as he is, although I know it was only a tv show.
Have any of youall ever checked richard out on youtube? There is a video on there where he actually fails at something! (ha!ha!).

Wow Kathy,
That is something I had no clue about.I have seen a few episodes of MacGyver. But never got the chance after that.*tears*. Good show. That cross-country bike ride opened him up to his own inner most passion I guess. That is such an awesome story.
Haha! So how many times did you watch that you tube video? Or is that left to the imagination..LOL
