A question about mylot

I know that mylot provides a way for users to get through their emails, notifications on when a user has started a discussion and etc, my question is, do you feel that this is helpful to you and your strategy of earnings or harmful? Of course this is directed at users who currently use this, but I am open to users opinions who do not currently use this or have in the past. I appreciate all feedback on this, I am hoping to find a better way to make money on mylot.

I must say that I don't have a 'strategy' or a goal here on myLot. However I do find the notifiers so useful I like to see when friends start discussions and when I receive responses and comments so that I can get back and interact with them. It would be impossible to keep up with all of them if I had the notifiers turned off.

Okay, yay! You just helped me figure out something else I wasn't sure on, which is if we'd be notified if a response we made was commented on, thank you so much! This notify thing is swaying my way! lol!

Hey you! You're catching up with me on posts. Good for you. I don't currently use notifications as I don't have access to the Mylot email address that I used to sign up. Most times, I just visit the discussions of friends who are on the "friends started" discussion tab. That way I can get around to everyone. Using notifications slowed me down and most times I would only be able to respond to five or ten friends daily. Sometimes, I pick one friend on Mylot and respond to all their discussions from the past few weeks until I am caught up. From what I know, we are only paid for the discussion/responses on the day the discussion is posted. So if you get 100 responses on your discussion on the first day you post that discussion you are likely to get paid more than if those same responses came in over a few weeks time. Basically put, you don't get paid after the day the discussion is posted no matter how many responses are posted. So, I try to hit friend discussions on the day they are posted. However, you can go back and comment on your own discussions day after day and you will get paid. For instance, you might pick 25 discussions of your own and then go back and make a small comment on each one to keep it updated. You would still get paid. I have done that and it really works. Doesn't pay much. But, it's something.

Yes I am catching up in posts, lol, I am on a roll (at least I hope) on responding, so maybe in no time I'll have as many posts as you! I appreciate your advice again! I know that every little bit helps, and something is better then nothing when it comes to money! Again, Great Response and I appreciate it!

I haven't used this because I belong to Stumbleupon and had enabled that on there - it has meant that when I check my e-mails I have to wade through so many that it just gets confusing. It's much easier to check when you are actually on the sites I think.

It's kind of funny because I just got an email from stumbleupon because I am a a member, lol, but I hadn't signed up for any emails I don't think. Well I appreciate your opinion, I know I much rather view through the site, but I feel I miss so many conversations when I don't have notify on! lol.
