Hey lila~ I hope that you are alright and the shaking has now stopped. I live in NY where we were told that we could never have an earthquake. Well, it has to be about maybe 20 years ago now that we did have one and it was a pretty nice size one at that! It was about 6:00am and I was in my bed sleeping and I heard this horrific noise like I've never heard! It was a really loud rumbling sound! It wouldn't stop, it kept getting louder. I thought my neighbors had a washing machine on or something! The next minute my room started to shake and my bed started moving across the floor! Things started falling off the wall! I was in shock and didn't know what to do! I don't know how long it lasted, of course it seemed like forever! I turned on the radio, because I had to go to work and they said it was an earthquake and it turned out that I was 5 minutes from the epicenter! And the next day I was in the shower in the morning and there was an aftershock with the noise again! Not quite as strong, but almost! We haven't had another one since!

That must be really scary for you when it happened. I think sometime last year, there was this minor tremor which I felt. I was lying down on my bed and I felt the bed shaking..

Just an earthquake can't shake the whole world. Why do you get so afraid by such a small thing. I had only one earthquake in my life and that was in 1994. Then people said that this has come after 30-35 years so, something bad might happen and earth will vanish at 1999! Didn't happen! So, don't worry things would go fine.

I have been through a few of them. I have the attitude that if it's my time I will go. If not he will leave me here. What happens ...well it happens. We have many tornadoes here where I live now. I'm like in a tornado alley so to speak. Try not to be too scared. Get under a door way it will be the closet thing when it happens again.

I actually did but our earthquake happened during the night. I did wake up and thought I had just had a bad dream and was why my whole bed was shaking so I rolled over and went back to sleep. When I awoke my daughter came into my room and slid into bed next to me and she asked, "Mom why did you come in my room middle of the night and shake my bed?" I immediately said, "What?" I knew then what happened so I told my daughter it must have been an earthquake. We got up and sure enough stuff had even fell off the coffee table and cupboards were in a mess etc. In school that day the kids got to tell if they felt the quake or not and tell their story. Where I live now we don't get earthquakes but we do have tornadoes.

Wow, that sounds scary. I hope everyone is OK. I've never been in an earthquake. I live in Florida so we get hurricanes. Although, we don't usually get them where I live. I agree, there are a lot of weird things happening everywhere. Our weather is changing for one.
